Benoit - Folk
Benoit is a Folk singer-songwriter hailing from the Basin, Victoria Australia. The music of Benoit is melodic and reflective, with soulful lyrics. Benoit provokes his audience to consider another perspective and think deeply about the everyday things of life. In relating to the human condition and the issues of the day, Benoit seeks to present another narrative, one full of beauty, love and life.
Cadence - Folk & A'Capella"Cadence” is a six piece vocal and instrumental music group. Our material is selected from a wide range of styles, the sound is very much based around the vocal harmonies, presented in a "folk" style, and including many a’capella items

Seasoned veterans of the Melbourne Music scene playing a classic selection of modern blues and boogie.
Chellah Mac - Folk, soul and country
A Melbourne-based alternative acoustic folk/soul artist. Debut Album titled ‘The Wind’ February 1st. Expect from a woman with big hair with some stories to tell, singing her heart out.
Chicks with Picks Melbourne - From folk to post punk
Chicks with Picks Melbourne is a community of women and girls who study guitar & ukulele with teacher, Helen Begley. Their performances showcase a love of surprising cover songs and spontaneous harmonies. They are joined by Surrey Hills Men's Ukulele Orchestra.
Dean Lombard - electric alt-folk-rock
Duo musical performance with Dean Lombard on electric guitar, vocals and harmonica and Ben Martin Hobbs on electric bass. Sparse and energetic folk/alt-rock/post-punk styled quirky and poignant original songs about love, loss, politics, society, life, death, cultural imperialism, propaganda, violence and redemption.
Dr Crask and His Swingin' Elixir - Swing
Whatever ails you, a dose of Dr Crask and his Swingin' Elixir is guaranteed to get you on your feet. Playing swing tunes predominantly of the 30's and 40's, the Swingin' Elixir kicks out the dancing tunes with Lindy Hop in mind. You'll hear songs that were performed by the likes of Fats Waller, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Prima just to name a few.
G&T Jazz - JazzG&T
Jazz swings with a sizzling selection of songs. They play jazz standards and their own melodic originals. The band has played to acclaim at jazz festivals throughout Victoria.
Hannah Schmidli - Acoustic, Indie Folk, Blues
Hannah is a singer songwriter who has been carving her own niche in an acoustic indie/folk style with a dash of atmosphere and an underlying hint of jazz and blues. Her melodies, beautifully blended harmonies and powerful lyrics belie her 17 years of age.
Hannah Wilson - Alternative RnB, Indie
18 year old singer, Hannah Wilson creates soul & RnB music, tinged with alternative and contemporary sounds. Growing up on the guitar, Hannah focuses her music on acoustic sounds, helping develop her heartfelt voice as well as her emotive writing skills. Coming from Melbourne, Hannah delivers a sound that centres on her delicate yet soulful voice, and when paired with her writing, proves an experience that explores all sorts of emotions.
Henry J. Sawyer - Country
Appealing to fans of the golden age of country, Henry J. Sawyer is a Melbourne based, whiskey drinkin', resonator strummin', ramblin' man. Invoking the spirit of old-time Texas, Sawyer plays classic honky-tonk country with the wit and storytelling of the genre's forebearers.

Lisa Crawley is truly a songwriter to watch. Predominantly piano base, her unique approach to writing and performing allows her to charm jazz loving audiences one minute, and command indie credibility the next; her undeniably catchy tunes are bound to stick with even the most casual of listeners.
Matt Joe Gow - Americana
Very few artists wield so much charisma that they can sell you just about anything before you’ve realised what’s happened. Matt Joe Gow has the charisma to be one of those artists – but he isn’t. Matt prefers to concentrate on the conviction. On writing and delivering songs that look you straight in the eye. You don’t have to listen to more than thirty seconds of Matt’s debut LP 'The Messenger' or follow up 'Seven Years' to appreciate that. The albums cackle with foot stomping Americana all the way through to spacious ballads. But no matter what textures Matt clothes his songs in, it invariably comes back to the melody.
Meiwa - Folk R&B
Canadian singer-songwriter Meiwa (a.k.a. Kristie McCracken) has earned international praise with her maturely thoughtful lyricism and subtly sophisticated, genre-melding creativity that reflects an artist who is adroitly expanding her musical horizons. She is a WCMA 2016 ‘Urban Artist of the Year’ nominee for her debut solo album titled ‘Let Go & Grow’. Encouraging, patient and tender, she captivates with the gentle, mesmerizing allure and vulnerability of her touchingly beautiful vocals. Meiwa expresses her keenly observed and heartfelt emotions with an authentically touching candor and insightfully poised intelligence.
Natalie Carolan - Alternative pop/Singer-songwriter
Luscious alt/pop, singer-songwriter, Natalie Carolan, will perform a solo set of songs from her latest self-titled EP as well as yet to be released music, infusing dreamy harmonies, soaring melodies, beautiful lyrics and her exquisite voice.
Paige Black – Soulful Pop/Folk
Paige Black is a singer songwriter born and raised upon the banks of the river, nestled in the hills of the Yarra Valley. Paige is number 8 in the harmonious chaos of her family of 9. Like the bends of the river Paige will take you on a journey with her songs narrating the places she’s been, the relationships she’s made and her sense of curiosity. Paige will caress you with her melodic, soulful sound and draw you in with her raw emotion and relatable stories. Paige’s unique voice, backed by the keys, bring you sounds of soul, pop and folk rolled into one.

Quadrifid - Jazz
Quadrifid are a jazz quartet that you can dance to. Their focus is on combining the individuality of each instrument to create a unique musical conversation. They play a blend of jazz and groove music in a 'chordless' instrumentation, creating lush harmonies between the trombone, saxophone and double bass, gelled together by the rhythmic drive of the drums.

Russia - Pop-Funk
While their name is Russia they hail from Melbourne. When you hear them you'll know that their sound is an ode to the funk of old while forging a contemporary footpath weaved with pop elements. Hearing them, however, is only half the experience. To truly understand the power of Russia, one must put down the laptop, go to their show and be engrossed in a high energy charismatic experience.
SHNUkers (Surrey Hills Neighbourhood Ukers) Ukulele Orchestra
The SHNUkers are a fun & music-loving, diverse, yet united band of Ukulele enthusiasts; based at the Surrey Hills Neighbourhood Centre. The group will play Popular “Sing-a-long” songs across the ages, continents, and genres. Including Gospel, Old-time Jazz, Folk , Country (and Western!).
For their Workshop: they will present an interactive Ukulele Workshop for Beginners of all ages who wish to experience the joy of the Ukulele, Music, and life!. There will be limited spare Ukes available; however BYO Uke if possible. Learn the World's easiest Chord; the "Z Chord" (sshh it's a secret!); and get ready to Rhumba with the Ukulele. “Everyone should have & play a Uke….you can’t play & not laugh!” (George Harrison).

Sisters & Misters, an unauditioned vocal group based in Eltham & Reservoir, sing songs from the 1960's. The group were semi finalists on Australia's Got Talent back in 2011 - since then the group has grown to approximately 150 in their 2 locations
Stereo Volvo - Space Jazz
Stereo Volvo are a hybrid of dub, hiphop and chillout styles. Shunning vocals, Stereo Volvo have remained proudly instrumental and aim to provide something different from the norm as far as instrumentals are concerned. While they love jazz, this kind of music can’t be pigeonholed, it doesn’t follow the traditional structure or forms so can’t be categorised into one box or another. Stereo Volvo have played a wide variety of gigs from Myer Music Bowl to Earthdance to Corporate functions to Tropical resorts.
Super Mande Percussion - Traditional West African percussion and jazz music
The music of Super Mande Percussion encompasses various genres from traditional African jazz through to energy-packed drumming and dance. The ensemble is led by Mady Keita (Mali) – one of Australia's finest exponents of West African music and culture – and supported by multi-instrumentalists from Guinea, Senegal and Ghana.
Tara Leigh Dowler - Acoustic rock, pop, folk.
Acclaimed singer-songwriter and musical comedienne Tara Leigh Dowler will enchant and delight audiences with her incredibly catchy hooks and powerhouse vocals. Punchy pop melodies meet rich and romantic ballads. A unique and charismatic performer who will tickle your funny bone and sing the Summer in to Surrey Hills.
The Great Unknown - Roots / Folk / Blues
The Great Unknown is a relatively new band full of seasoned professionals. It's a band where jazz chops meet blues licks and pretty country harmonies touch hearts. The repertoire is full of original material and lesser known covers.
The Jackson Four - Soulful/Blues/Jazz/Latin
The band’s distinctive style and sound is centred around the classic Hammond B3 organ. With interplay from soulful and Bluesy sax and vocals. All driven by a strong Jazz and Latin rhythm percussion section.
Tinman - Folk
Infused with the unusual voicings of mandolin, cigar box guitar, piano accordion and ukulele to name a few, Tinman are a dream quartet that come together to create an electric live performance!
Tommy Castles - Alternative Folk / Roots
Tommy Castles is a folk musician who after playing Falls Festival & 4 sold out shows with Amy Shark at The Corner Hotel, has already gone on to embark on 4 headline national tours at the age of just 20.

Yarra Gospel - Gospel choir
On Thursday nights in Hawthorn, members of Yarra Gospel community choir sing inspiring arrangements of traditional gospel songs and spirituals, then enjoy a wine and cheese supper together. Throughout the year Yarra Gospel performs in a variety of venues in Melbourne and in regional Victoria.

In the past we have hosted folk, blues, rock, swing, jazz, country, choral, orchestral, percussive, electronica, dance fusion, African, Balkan, Spanish, charting soul bands, rollicking dance bands and others too numerous and niche to mention! We encourage applications from solo artists, bands, ensembles and choirs.
