The festival is centred at the Surrey Hills Neighbourhood Centre, 157 Union Rd, Surrey Hills, running between Canterbury Rd and Montrose Street.
Parking is available at the Surrey Hills Station, and surrounding streets.

Music Festival?
The Surrey Hills Music Festival has succeeded in establishing itself as a regular event on the Melbourne music calendar and is enthusiastically supported by local residents, schools, volunteers, traders, artists, choirs and musicians. The festival continues to attract a growing number of participants from within and beyond the Surrey Hills area, and assists in giving wide profile to our vibrant local community. The community views the festival in an extremely positive light and associates it with celebration, fun and family. It also makes residents proud of their neighbourhood, and it is an event that he community looks forward to each year. We make a special effort to include marginalised and isolated groups, and pride ourselves on the inclusiveness and sense of community we inspire. The festival is partly funded by the City of Boroondara and generously supported by local businesses.

Who we are
The SHMF is run by a dedicated band of people with a strong interest in the local community. They form the Festival Steering Committee who meets on a monthly basis to plan the festival. The Committee employs a Festival Coordinator who shapes the program, and coordinates operations and logistics.
Rebecca Anthony has just joined the team as Festival Coordinator.
Rebecca works as Events and Programs Producer at State Library Victoria, and brings a wealth of community arts and festival experience.
The festival also could not happen without the generous support of the Surrey Hills Neighbourhood Centre, managed by Shima Ibuki and her team who give so much energy and support to the festival.
While we do tend to see the same faces on the steering committee every year, we are very welcoming of new people to come on board and give us a hand.
